Agar-agar is a soluble fibre that is not digested nor absorbed by the gut; it normalises the stool volume and consistency and, in combination with marshmallow, maintains regularity of bowel movements. Marshmallow and fenugreek are rich in mucilage and have an emollient and soothing effect on the digestive system. Furthermore, probiotic lactic cultures help maintain the natural balance of intestinal flora.
